Gooey Pineapple Cake

This recipe was my Great Grandma's and my absolute favorite when we'd go visit her. You really can't taste the pineapple too much, but just enough to make it sooo yummy!!





2 small cans crushed pineapple (8 oz)
1 egg
1 1/2 c sugar
2 c flour
2 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt
Mix together first 3 ingredients. Add flour, soda and salt.
Pour into greased 9x13 pan. Bake 350 for 25 minutes.

While cake is baking make topping:
1 cube butter
2/3 c evaporated milk
2/3 c sugar
1 egg yolk
Bring to boil for 6 minutes.
Pour over hot cake.
